Q: Who are driving lessons for?
A: Our driving lessons are tailored towards anybody who is looking for additional help before taking the driving exam. That being said, anybody looking to become a better driver will highly benefit from our lessons.
Q: Do I need to have my permit in order to take driving lessons?
A: Yes, a permit is required from whoever is planning on taking driving lessons.
Q: My kid is in school, do you have availability around school hours?
A: Yes! We offer weekend availability along with after-school lessons.
Q: I am not able to drive myself or my child to the lessons. Are pickup options available?
A: Yes! Pickup options are available for anybody within Joplin city limits. There is an additional fee of $20/lesson.
Q: What are the driving lessons like?
A: Our driving lessons are 60 minute, private lessons with one of our instructors in a Driver’s Ed car equipped with a passenger brake. There are 5 units, increasing in difficulty that teach students everything they need to have the best chance at passing the driving exam and be a lifelong defensive driver.
Q: Do you offer discounts or financial aid?
A: Because we are a small business, no financial aid is currently available. However, we have lesson bundles, and often have discounts/sales on our social media pages, so follow us @joplindrivingschool
Q: How many lessons do I need to take?
A: Students typically have 1-2 lessons in each unit In order to complete all 5 units and receive their certificate of completion. This all depends on the student’s ability to learn the necessary skills, and how often they are able to practice outside of the lessons.
Q: Will I get a discount on my insurance from taking these lessons?
A: We cannot guarantee you will get an insurance discount, but there is a very strong possibility you will be able to after completing the course. After the completion of the 5 Units, a certificate will be given which you can present as proof to your insurance company.
